this tea is truly amazing

"As the name suggests, this tea has a lot of aroma. Even the dry leaf is incredibly pungent and offers a glimpse into what you can expect in the cup. What I find most striking about this tea is its balance. Typically, with tea that is so heavy on the nose with its aroma, it loses some longevity, meaning it won't brew as many cups and you have to start pushing the leaves earlier on in your session. The same is not true here. This tea changes remarkably well over the many cups of deliciousness it will brew. The first few cups are marked by sweet floral and fruity notes, there is a lot going on and you can really feel the individual layers by keeping steep times short. Gradually, the tea starts to change, I get more woodsy and spicy notes (I always get a sweet cinnamon note on the 4th and 5th cups) as the tea starts to reveal itself. It also responds well to being pushed hard at the end, past the 6th and 7th cups. It holds its composure well, and I think its "cha qi" comes out with near-boiling water and longer steep times. The aftertaste is amazingly smooth. Don't miss this. Just the sensation across the palate is worth writing about because its unusual to find a Wuyi tea that has such a robust and powerful profile yet is so graceful and elegant on the palate after 10+ cups. There is no bitterness, and somehow it still maintains an aftertaste that is sweet and faintly reminiscent of the fruity and floral aromatics which dominated the first few steepings. Very balanced yet so potent, this tea really is a special experience."

Intoxicated Clouds of Gardenia's

"Drunk with love as clouds of Gardenia's rain down from above penetrating the mind, body and soul. So gently so from head to toe as I float to sky above drifting on clouds of Gardenia's drinking such a wonderful tea with a noontime breeze, oh such a beautiful, beautiful tea."
