This lovely mushroom tuo was pressed by a friend of ours who is based in Yong De county of Lincang. It's a pressing of Mang Fei Mountain tea harvested from 2008 to 2017, that was blended together to create a semi-aged pu-erh with a classic Lincang character and just enough aged taste to make it a good choice for those who prefer a bit of age on their pu-erh.
Being a blend of over five spring harvests spanning more than 10 years, this tea has plenty of character and a robust character. Thick, bitter, astringent, cooling, lubricating to the mouth, with slightest hints of smoke thrown in, makes this an enjoyable tea now, but is still worthy of further aging.
