Very Good Jin Jun Mei, at a Very Reasonable Price
"Medium-bodied Jin Jun Mei, with impressive sweetness. Decent minerality and fruitiness, though less complex that most competition versions of this tea (which can be very expensive). The "Imperial" in the title likely stems from the ultra-fine picking. The cha qi is impressive, and there is virtually no bitterness or astringency. Brewing Recommendations: 5 grams at 190 degress in a 110 ml yixing. Rinse to wake up the leaves, and then infuse for about 30 seconds. Then, proceed a 15 s infusion, and add 5 - 10 s for each following infusion. The tea drops off after 5 infusions, with the fruitiness last about 3 infusions."

Excellent
"Medium thick, soft, bright and smooth. Creamy milk chocolate, praline, pecans, fruit loaf, almond croissants, some honeydew melon and buttery fudge. Dark chocolate with charred oak persists in a long finish."

good
"Sure, here’s a more natural version of your sentence: I experimented with different steeping times and varying amounts of tea per 100ml. It's a decent tea, but I didn't find anything particularly special about it."

Imperial Grade is Right
"Give this one a little longer in the steep and then prepare for an awesome tea experience. Gong Fu is definitely the way to go as each steep brings out different aspects."

After some troubles - great tea
"As many mentioned here before me, the key here really is - LONGER STEEPING TIME. For me (150ml gaiwan, 6-7 grams of tea ) I was going up from 10-15 secs to approx 30 seconds. Then I finally got rewarded with the pleasant taste I expected."

For Gong Fu lovers
"This is a stellar tea that is custom made for gung fu. It rewards patience and experimentation and requires close attention, but it delivers big time."

Excellent! Tricky to brew!
"Once I got the brewing parameters down for this tea it become excellent! I started with gong fu steeps, just 10-20 seconds and found it lacking. I found that if I steep longer each time it is amazing. Even with the longer steeps I can still get 7 steeps out of this tea!"

not complex but good
"I echo Marc's opinion, a good tea, but more of a daily drinker in the sense that it is not very complex of super interesting. It is a good black tea that i'd be glad to have any time. The Qi is quite apparent and produces a generalized pleasant whole body experience, not rushy but energizing with a bit of good old tea induced euphoria. 8 gm leaf in 190 ml gaiwan and ~200 degree F water. About 6 good steeps from these delicate tiny leaves. (I bought this from Y/S.US)"

Decent tea for the price
"I found this to be a decent, though unremarkable, tea. The price is a good indicator that this is not top-grade Jin Jun Mei, and that is also evident in the cup. Warm leaf has strong chocolaty mint aroma. Wet leaf is floral and cigar tobacco. The tea has a light to medium body with flavors of roasted vegetables, some mineral and a very minty finish that lingers for a while. Gaiwan lid aroma was of cinnamon buns and the empty cup was a bit fruity and sweet. Overall I found the flavor somewhat muted and straightforward. I’ve brewed this tea on 3 separate occasions and had the same experience. I found it best with about 5g of leaf to 100ml water and 95C, starting with 15s infusion and going up, with 3 good infusions and then tapering off from there, though I think you could push it to 5."
