This is a small farmer production that doesn't involve wet piling. It was grown in a small Hei Shan area garden (Wuzhou, Guangxi) at an altitude of 600 meters, and then plucked, withered, and cured using a smoky fire!

Wood-smoke, and sweet with a caramel and roasted corn character! An incredibly unique offering that is a good choice for those who love smoky teas! This is very smoky, but doesn't taste burned at all!

Can be purchased in 400 gram baskets or in lesser quantities without the basket!

Fantastic

"The tea is very comforting, absolutely not extreme or aggressive. At the beginning it comes with peat-like smoke, beetroot and earthy notes, later shows sweetness, then nuts and acorns dominate. All aromas are integrated, there is no feeling of having something burned or having ash in your drink. I would suggest this Liu Bao to people unsure if they like smoked teas."

Smokey, Leafy Forrest, Perfect for a Winter’s Day

"I ordered this tea at the perfect time of year - the depths of winter. This tea does not so much have a flavor as it tastes like an experience. The color is a lovely red amber. In my first session, it brought me back to my youth visiting some neighbors in the winter holidays, and sitting next to their fire place drinking the hostesses favorite smoked tea. There was snow outside, but we were cozy inside. For my second session, I shook the tea leaves in the warmed up gaiwan. The scent made me think of the wood cook fire by the lake. The smoky scent of the dry leaves is much more pungent than the smoke in the taste. I like to do a quick wash first. So far I have been conservative with the amount of tea used. Only up to 3 g in 220 ml. It is just enough, but if I were to use it in cooking, I would definitely use more. There are a lot of stems. So far, I have not picked the leaves from the stems except for one stem to let my cats enjoy smelling. He loves to explore with his nose - especially plants and produce. I think this is worth purchasing a sample to try. Maybe on my next order, I will get the full basket. I got 50 g to start me off on this one."

Super Unique - Reminiscent of a Campfire

"Fantastic tea where the smoky character is front and center. Can be a little overpowering, but is perfect for a cooler evening tea session. There are many stems in the tea, so I typically like to use 6-7g rather than my usual 5g. At this price, the uniqueness alone is worth the buy!"

Smoke, Betel, and Wood

"Faint hints of pine smoke, layered on decayed wood, leather, and betel nut. My partner describes it as tasting like a barn deep in the forest. Made for a wonderful Gong Fu to entertain guests with something totally unique, and equally delicious as a simple bowl tea."

Ahumado agraciado

"Ahumado, no es delicioso pero tiene un sabor muy agradable, diria que se nota que es beneficioso para la salud regulando el frio y calor interno corporal, puediendo darse el caso de ligero sudor, me ha gustado y repetire cuando se me acabe"

Smoke, Scotch, and Molasses

"Smoke, Scotch, and Molasses. What more can I say? Except that this is a perfect tea for the kind of day where what you really want is to be sitting around a warm, cozy campfire."
