This is a unique offering from Xianyang area of Shaanxi. Fu brick process was supposedly originally first done in Xianyang over 600 years ago!

Jingwei Fu is a tea producer that has continued the tradition of Fu Zhuan in the style of Shaanxi Hei Cha since 2008.

This "Square Brick" is a premium Fu blend from Jingwei Fu. Fewer stems and more leaves gives this a strong aroma with floral and tobacco sweetness. Compared to the simpler 1368 brick, this Square Brick is more complex but also less aged. All in all a great tea and a great choice for aging!

Refreshing and juicy, excellent choice for aging!

"Having tasted a number of Fuchas recently, including a 2011 brick if the 1368 version, this tea is quite unique. Much fewer stalks than in the 1368, greener looking leaves with quite hard compression. Smell: sweet lemon pie with caramel, hot lemon tea. Taste: Quite sharp and juicy but also sweet at the start, with the sharpness disappearing after a few infusions. Lovely thick golden liquor, thick mouth feel, and long dry finish. Overall the taste is much more similar to young raw puerh, than other, older heichas. This tea will likely age very well, with increasing sweetness but it is great to drink now, for a juicy, refreshing taste. Great value for money and comes in beautiful packaging."

Tasty Hei cha

"I'm not an expert in hei cha, but I've got a lot of hei cha samples from YS (aged and young), and this is one of my favorites. Here we have very strong chocolate and caramel notes in aroma, and just a little note of an expensive pipe tobacco. The aroma is super-sweet. Even my wife who is sceptic to gongfu tea ceremony enjoyed the sesssion with this tea very much! The small flaw of this tea is a little bitternes in taste from first two steepings (after one washing). I'm pretty sure that everyone will enjoy this tea, even the tea novices and people who usually don't like hei cha."
