2026 Yunnan Sourcing "Year of the Horse" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Mini Cake
For the year of the horse we decided to produce some premium quality mini cakes from a blend of Menghai area ripened tea leaves! Each mini cake is roughly 7 grams of tea and are individually wrapped! Perfect size and weight for a gong fu session.
Recommended brewing:
Gong Fu - One mini cake in a 120-160ml teapot or gaiwan. Use just off boil water and wash briefly (10 seconds), then use that wash to warm up your cha hai and cups. Second steep about 20 seconds, third about 25 seconds, then add 10-15 seconds each successive steeping.
Thermos (Grandpa style) - Use one mini cake in a 400-500ml thermos. You can wash briefly for about 10 seconds with 100ml or so of just off boil water, and then dump the wash, then fill the thermos/flask entirely and seal with the lid. Steep for 30-60 minutes!
- 2026 pressing from 2025 harvested and wet-piled tea from Menghai
- Each mini cake is roughly 7 grams. These are sold by weight and that includes the weight of the wrapper (negligible).
