This is purely Lao Man'e village ripe pu-erh tea harvested from mature trees in Spring 2022 and then wet piled in Autumn 2022.

This is the most potent ripe tea we have ever pressed. It's quite bitter, but is incredibly complex tasting with a long lasting mouthfeel and strong cha qi as well!

Entirely Lao Man'e old plantation material from Lao Man'e village in the Bu Lang mountains. Lao Man'e is a village in the Bu Lang Mountain range, not far from Lao Ban Zhang and also quite near Jie Liang village. Lao Man'e tea is something in between the extreme bitterness of Jie Liang tea and the bitterness with fast and sweet huigan of Lao Ban Zhang tea.

Lao Man'e experience in ripe form

"I am really into Lao Man'e taste profile and this cake retains it very well and offers it in ripe puerh form. Thick body, longevity, Lao Man'e taste, and good cha qi. If you are into Lao Man'e raw puerhs give this one a try."

Mysterious! Intriguing! Part 2

"The thing that intrigued me the most about this tea was Scott's mentioning it's chi twice. I've been buying a lot of teas that have very noticeable vital life forces in them and this is one of them! I get up before dawn, quiet my mind and can feel the chi moving in my body. The tea actually seems to resonate and even elicit my own chi. It's a wonderfully healing, revitalizing experience. Thank you, Scott!"

I need more damn tea money

"I need more damn tea money for these ridiculously good, delicious, oily & mouth coating lao man'e teas. First thing in the morning, let the tea rest & cool to proper temps that first sip is pure magic & heaven. Subsequent sips are also great. One day I will stack tongs of this shit mark my words."

Complexity and power

"This one is bitter, complex and powerful. Underneath the heavy bitterness you get 95% cocoa dark chocolate and luxury coffee aromas. Some vanilla is also in there. Later steeps become more fruity, I'd say I taste a little bit of cherry and blackberry. This tea is made for ageing in my opinion, I bought the whole cake and will likely buy another one."

Mysterious! Intriguing!

"I liked the bitterness of this tea though it's "rough edges" are somewhat subdued after a 4 minute infusion where everything sort of comes together and other flavors dominate. Teas harvested from trees also tend to have potent chi as this one does. I like a rough, crude almost wild-crafted teas Pu-erhs anyway, like some Lao Chas. Try at least a sample of this one and have no expectations. You may be delightfully surprised."
