Fine as an introductory set

"The set is very pretty and comes in a nice carrying case. The bead on the top of the lid is very wobbly and likes to come undone -- I had to use a tiny dab of super glue on the screw inside the lid to keep it together. The pouring spout is convenient but for thinner or more broken leaves it can leak some tea out."

"Good overall package for travel, even fits my small scale under the lid. The gaiwan is a nice size, large volume and heats well but is a bit tricky to hold as the round ball on the lids is slippery, I use a small towel to help me grip it."

"this is a very well made gaiwan with built in mind of travelling set.. however as the other reviewer mentioned, you have to be extra careful not to fill the water to the top, otherwise with hot water it can be painfully hot.. also i did not expect the diameter to be quiet big, have a hard time holding it securely.... maybe practice makes perfect..."

"I love the design and feeling and the pouring is so easy. The glazing style is bright and it lifts my mood every time I use it. The string around the edges on each side of the gaiwan keep it cool enough to handle without scorching my fingers. Excellent set and price is so low given the quality!"

Very cute gaiwan with excellent travel case

"This little easy gaiwan set is perfect for making tea on the go. The carrying case is no larger than a packed lunch which makes bringing it with in a backpack a breeze. The reason I took stars off is because the ceramic retains far to much heat to comfortably hold or pour with bare hands. Furthermore, because of the "easy" design there is no margin for error with the amount of water in your cup, ou -will- burn yourself while pouring if it's too full. I will buy buying a small saucer to hold the gaiwan with... my poor fingers! Love it otherwise."
