Aged to perfection Tian Jian from Bai Sha Xi! This is the original An Hua tea varietal that has grown in the mountains of An Hua county for centuries (maybe longer).

The tea after processing is not fully dried when it is then hand packed into the lovely hand-woven baskets. The compression is medium to light and allows for good aging. The taste of the tea is complex with some molasses mineral sweetness and a light tobacco smoke and sweet mushroom broth character.

This is a near perfect Tian Jian and a great example of what an aged Tian Jian should taste like!

1 kilogram of tea per basket (if you want the whole basket please order the "1 Basket - 1 Kilogram) option!

Great value for money. Tasting

"Great value for money. Tasting notes: tobacco smoke, mushrooms, sweet aftertaste"

Good Tian Jian

"The tea is complex, rich and sweet with some spice & molasses balanced with potent boldness and light astringency. The pine smoke has been prominent through out my sessions from wash to last steep, but it’s not aggressive. It’s not my favorite, but overall it’s a decent Tian Jian that tastes a bit stronger than the “black box” Bai Sha Xi Tian Jian that used to be offered here on YS. I’d say it’s a little less smoky than Cha Yu Lin’s ‘Liu Bu Xi’ village TJ, but with a similar strength. Most of my 250g portion consists of a large hunk of lightly compressed tea that falls apart with gentle tea picking. It’s nice to be able to brew compressed Tian Jian without buying a whole basket!"

Amazing value for money

"Ordered based on recommendation and happy I did. Aged plus strong complex taste this makes a keeper for me. Adding a star for cost value relation, excellent!"
