A CNNP production from 1998 blended along the lines of Menghai Tea Factory's classic 7262. Pressed from Menghai harvested tea leaves and also wet-piled in Menghai, then stored in Kunming until now.

This is a ripe that is super clean in terms of taste, aroma, and body feeling. Cha Qi super mellow and nurturing. For me, this is a tea drink in the morning first thing on an empty stomach and just let it sink in. I got a 150 gram chunk initially as a sample and just finished the whole 150 grams in no time at all! I personally prefer to brew it in the SAMA flasks (either the MC09 or the MC05), using 7 grams and doing a one hour steep.

All-in-all an excellent aged ripe with 25+ years of maturation!

Where Every Cup Feels Like Home

"I have been ordering tea from this shop for many years, and it is never enough. Every time I want to discover something new, and at the same time I want to reorder my favorites again and again — to enjoy this level of quality every single day. The tea quality is absolutely fantastic, the service is always excellent, and over all these years I have never had a single problem with any order. Thank you for your care, consistency, and passion. We are clearly connected for many years to come."

Acquired taste

"First time drinking such old puer, it has the specific smell and taste, definitely acquired taste. I mix it with puer that is a bit younger to balance the flavor."

Amazing tea, must have for

"Amazing tea, must have for any serious tea collector (at least tasting it once), well worth the price! Dry smell: rolled cigar, sweet smoking wood Tasting notes: chewy texture (like dried apricots), covering oily mouthfeel, complex shou taste"
