This tea is harvested from untended bushes 野放茶 growing in the Guan Yang area of Fuding (Fujian province) at an altitude of 900 meters.

April 2021 harvested Gong Mei pluck white tea was aged in loose leaf form for almost 2 years in Fuding before being pressed into these tiny little mini bricks in 2023.

This tea has a really unique fruit aroma "Guo Xiang" (果香), and thick long lasting and smooth mouth feel. Tea soup is a deep orange color and the brewed leaves are light brown in color. The qi is very balanced and the tea leaves have excellent stamina. You can feel the relatively high altitude growing conditions when drinking this tea!

These mini bricks are typically between 1 and 1.5 grams each. Super convenient for brewing a cup of tea or even for brewing gong fu style. Just add the amount needed and brew it up!

Good BUT

"This is a good tea. I will admit I had to figure out the best way to utilize it. My opinion is that it doesn't make sense for a gaiwan. This is because it is very tightly compressed and about three bricks are needed to fill a gaiwan so the portioning is a bit unusual when compared to a dragon ball or larger bricks. I had to really fight it to get it to open up. However, with about 3 bricks and higher temp water and a longer steep it really opens up and delivers a fantastic flavor- herbal medicinal and complex. Best way to utilize these little bricks in my opinion is to just drop one into a tea mug and fill with water. Drink as it steeps. This utilization makes the portion size make sense and works with the format the tea is in. Makes for a highly enjoyable and low effort tea experience."

Amazing.

"I bought this a year ago and ration it out because it's a favourite. 3 tiny "bricks' in my little gaiwan and I'm brewing tea from it all night. Then soak the left over leaves overnight to make iced tea, mixed with plain mineral water."

Amazing for the price

"I'll have to admit I am not too experienced in the realm of white teas, but this one is plain wonderful. Very good flavour for the price, floral with flavour like red dates, and leaves a sweet aftertaste."

Daily Drinker

"Very smooth, good mouthfeel. No bitterness whatsoever and has notes of honey. This is my go-to daily drinker and a good tea to have grandpa style as it doesn't become astringent from oversteeping."

Enveloping and Tasty

"This tea has a satisfying, enveloping mouthfeel. The taste is halfway between melon rind and hay, with the hay part coming strong on the aftertaste. It is also very good cold. I love the tiny brick format; they're beautiful and convenient. I usually put 3-4 for a brew, and wait around 3-5min for the steep. It makes it pretty potent."

Decent pressed white

"It's a good daily drinker aged white. I'm not sure how old it is, but at least a few years old. Good for travel too. I gave some to my brother as a gift."

Good stuff.

"Smooth and mild. Sweet and no bitterness. Brewed grandpa style and forgot about it for a couple hours, however, tea wasn't bitter at all. I'll continue to get this tea if I run out. About 4-5 mini bricks and 12 oz of water @ 180f"

Small bricks, great tea!

"The bricks are very tiny (I used two of them in my 100ml Gaiwan), but the taste is awesome! It has less of that honey sweetness, that many Shou Mei teas have, but it is still quite sweet with more complexity in it. There are somewhat fruity-floral notes and some sweet aroma that reminds of me freshly baked pastry, like cookies or marzipan. And these tiny bricks last for a lot of steeps, since they are quite tightly compressed and unfold slowly over the course of the session. Definitely worth to get a few of these in your next order, if you are a fan of aged white teas."
