Pretty good stuff
"Nice thick heavy drink. Not as heavy on the fruit and honey if compared to the fresh Dian Hong. Very very infusable. Very strong cha qi. A earlier review compared it to a Percocet, pretty accurate, lol. Comes in dense little bricks about the size of a brownie. It’s a bit too expensive to be an everyday drink for me, but it’s a nice treat for a long session."

Give it some time
"You need multiple infusions on this one. It certainly gets thicker in the mouth, more mellow and comforting. Never very sweet. Got me fairly tea-tuned. I feel like I took a Percocet or something."

Honey Bomb
"This is one of my favorite black teas I’ve had, and I love the mini bricks! The compression is quite firm but not an issue and seems to help extend the tea sessions as it slowly open up. The tea steeps well and is pretty difficult to over-extract. The tea soup can be quite thick, and the honey aroma is very pronounced (it is my favorite aspect of this tea). This is one to stock up on!"

This tea is the reason I got to like compressed red tea
"It’s simply addictive. A red tea with plum, tobacco and leather on top of the usual compressed hong cha taste. Smooth but strong. Age suits it well. I love it!"

Deluxe Every day drinker
"I just bought bought 2x 500 gm of it to resplenish my reserve. I went trough a pound of it trough the last year or so. I love it, it is really tasty, you can brew it tar like without it becomming overly bitter, it keeps well and the price is fair. Only thing is you need a good pick, reasonnably strong, steady hands and be able to divine the layering of the leaves to pry apart those bricks more or less easily without powdering them, once you get the knack of it, it aint that bad, i just never encountered any brick or cake that can compare to that level of compaction i can often just pry part loose with my fingers alone in other stuff with this its just ain't possible."

Rich, smooth and amazing for the prize
"I simply love this tea. And it is quite a surprise for me as I wasn´t expecting much from this little brick for a nice prize. Although it gives a very smooth and rich tea soup full of flavour with an immortal aftertaste, the mouthfeel reminds me of some quality red vines. And importantly, don´t expect any astringency or earthy flavour. If you prefer bold teas and don´t seek for more subtle flavours like pure bud variants use to give, have a piece of this. I already made another order just to get 3 more. Out of 18 teas from my last order, this is an unexpected favourite."

dian hong with a twist
"A very powerful and typical frontal flavour, but with a medicinal finish. Can be brewed to near espresso strength - tea drunk though you may be. Not so good with milk, which masks rather than enhances this profile."

tea for every day
"this brick is pressed so tough, that you need a rotary hammer to break a portion. when brewed, it seems pretty decent. not a something special, but definitely fits for everyday use."

Fruity aroma and rich typically
"Fruity aroma and rich typically yunnan hongcha flavours. This will definately age and continue to deliver. Best enjoyed in gaiwan to maintain the wonderful aroma."
