Bang Wai Mountain is in the county of Lancang not too far from the Jingmai Mountains. Bang Wai tea, like Jingmai tea, is a naturally occurring mixed (large and small) leaf varietal that displays a floral sweet character juxtaposed against a hoppy bitterness. The aroma is high and bright, whereas the mouth-feel is thick, viscous and crisp, with a long-lasting sweetness.

Great Sample!

"Received it as a sample in an order and even though it's young it's a very interesting tree. I think it shows promise for long term aging. First few steps it is very vegetal a little bitter and has a very pleasant cooling effect in the mouth. Because it's so young the bitterness isalittle rougher and sharper than what I'm used to drinking but it is not a bad bitterness. I am confident it will mellow with age. Smells like stone fruit and steamed greens. Faint fruit on the back end of the sip, comes out more in later steeps. Beautifully clear and orange gold brew. Worth buying and storing, ill have to pick up more next time!"
