This is a very nice ripe pu-erh tea production from Xiaguan called "Sweet Pu-erh" (甘普洱).  It was pressed in 2017 (from 2015-2016 material) into these little mini chocolate bar style mini tea cakes.  Easy to break apart and easy to brew!

Smooth and sweet ripe pu-erh that will age wonderfully in the coming years.  Enjoy now or age some for future enjoyment!

Good for everyday drinking

"The dry leaf reminds me of the smell of fresh oceanic air, sweet, and with a hint of earthy soil. The wet leaf revealed scents of fired wood, fresh leather, and more of a damp forest smell opposed to soil. The brewed tea started out with a mild sweetness. I could really get the notes of the fresh leather I smelt on the wet leaf, with further notes of rich minerals, and the smallest hint of dark chocolate on the very end of the cup. The tea became more astringent for the 3rd and 4th infusions before slowly fading out into a more mellow feel."
