We are offering a set of two tea cakes pressed from old arbor material harvested in Autumn 2023. "Ascend" is pressed from 200+ year old tea trees growing in 黑森林 (Black Forest) area of Jinggu, and "Arrive" is pressed from old arbor (100-200 years old) tea trees growing in Mo Lie Shan (魔烈山). Mo Lie Shan is a mountain area with several villages south of Bingdao in Mengku just to the east of Bingdao Lake (a reservoir section of the Mengku River).

Each cake is 500 grams, so you'll get a total of 1 kilogram of tea when you buy this set!

Another banger of a sample

"First steep had a touch of astringency, a touch of sweetness. Bit of grass which I was expecting as its a pretty young sheng. Wet leaves smelled like hay and pineapple. Really an enjoyable tea with almost no astringency after that first steep. I wasnt sure what I was expecting with this but it actually a lot better than I was hoping for as I like more of an aged sheng because I'm sensitive to bitterness and astringency. Fifth steep in and starting to get a bunch of citrus flavor, not the pineapple I was smelling but more like a tea orange. I actually think I make cake this for my birthday in July will have to wait and see though."
