Amazing
"I brew it with gaiwan, 5g/100ml, 90 degree water, rinse then 10s, 15, 25s,. . . Last like 8 steeps for me. Taste amazing, bright, fruity, buttery. But I want to highlight that it's shockingly good in cold brew, almost like lychee without the sugary feel. Very bright and refreshing."

Mild, fruity, juicy red tea
"Brewed 5g/100ml at 90-95c for 15+15+etc seconds. Good quality red tea. Juicy, fruity, not bitter at all, very refreshing. Not good for very many steeps, lost flavor after about five. Enjoyed it but it didn't wow me, I could drink it casually on a regular basis."

Sooooo good
"A friend turned me into this tea and I took the chance. I'm so glad I did because I am hooked. I've never had such high quality tea and the quality makes a big difference. The taste is warming and malty. It's hard to brew it wrong. I'm almost out and I wish I had ordered more."

Light bright and thick
"Compared to the Gold Bi Luo Chun and other black teas, this one is light and bright. The texture is thick, which I never had in a black tea. This one is less prone to over brewing. It has a natural sweetness to it. Ideal for anyone who enjoys a lighter, sweeter style of black tea."

Strangely Savory
"The 2025 harvest was great, but the 2026 harvest has an initial taste of miso soup, which resolves into the malty, sweet notes familiar to the 2025 harvest. A unique experience, but heavy on the umami flavors which isn't my preference."

Great everyday drinking tea
"I love this tea for whenever I simply want a nice cup of black tea. It has a sweet, warm chocolate scent with some earthiness appearing once wet. The tea stands up very well to western brewing, with it taking a long oversteep to show much bitterness: great for forgetting you made tea! In a gaiwan it is sweet and delicate. I've gone through nearly a kilo of this tea over the last 5 years and I see no reason to stop :)"

Spring 2024 Incredible, Spring 2025 Dissapointing
"I initially got a sample of the 2024 Spring batch, it was outstanding - possibly the best tea I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. I was ecstatic. A few weeks/months later when I wanted to order a larger batch, I had to purchase the 2025 Spring batch as the 2024 batch was sold out. It was not even comparable, very disappointing. Spring 2024 Batch = 6/5 - Exceptional Spring 2025 Batch = 4/5 - Good, but not even close to the 2024 batch. Maybe this was a fluke, perhaps I got a bad batch, looking at other reviews it seems people are still super happy with it, I might give it another try in the future."

Old Reliable :3
"This tea has become my daily standard in part because I ordered half a kilo of it and in part because it's a very good standard black tea. It's smooth, full-bodied, and good for many steeps. I drink it both gongfu and with larger water volumes, using it for a cold steep overnight when I'm done with the leaves. Cold brewing this will bring out the sweet notes while retaining some of the malt flavor under the surface."
