Made entirely from Jing Mai mountain area ripened pu-erh tea.  Entirely 2016 spring harvest tea were fermented for 45 days, then through a special decoction process this concentrated pu-erh tea cha gao was made.  They were then warmed to make soft and pressed into these lovely 0.5 gram single serving cha gao bricks!

Simply put one in a cha hai, cup, or thermos and pour hot over it.  Shake or agitate the cha gao and it will start to diffuse.  Very nice cocao, sweet and ripe pu-erh taste.  Very special and high quality cha gao!

Birthday gift for a tea fan

"I purchased this as a gift for someone who wanted to explore the world of tea but wasn't sure where to look. It was a big hit. The tea was delicious and the flavor was complex. We didn't have to worry about burning the leaves either. Highly recommend."

Wonderful "instant" tea

"For my initial purchase I bought both the "Ripe" as well as the "Raw" Jingmai Mountain Pu-erh tea Cha Gao Instant tea to to see which one I would like best. I had expected to prefer the "Raw" because it is less processed and has a much longer tradition dating back hundreds of years. However, it turns out the "Ripe" ends up being my preferred tea of choice. It helps me feel calm, focused with good energy."

Okay but Very Convenient

"This Cha Gao seems to be good quality. I found that the best ratio was 500ml water to one Cha Gao, which allowed to tea to have a clear flavor profile but not be too strong. The convenience of these is very high, if you don't have time or space for a gongfu session they are a great option. I just finished my 10g pack and I would say that this is the best ripe Cha Gao available on this site. The flavor is funky but lacks some of the earthy tasting notes I usually expect from a ripe puerh. Overall I think this is a good option and I would recommend it, but if you are expecting it to taste just like a normal ripe puerh then you will probably be a bit disappointed."

Slightly fishy

"Had a slight fishy smell and taste gets better if you use more water. The tea is very strong and has a good energy to it."
