This is a pure assamica varietal first flush of spring 2019 pluck from 60-120 tea trees growing on Min Feng Mountain in Yong De county of Lincang.

Min Feng Mountain is located Northwest from Yong De town at an altitude of 2100 meters. The tea used for this production grows at about 1700 meters on a steep hillside.

The tea is plucked and then air-dried over a period of several days and then pressed into cakes. White tea made in this minimalist manner is replete with cha qi, flavor, and aroma! The tea soup is has a deep orange-red color with a thick viscous character. The tea takes many many steeps, only very gradually losing it's flavor and body!

"I am extremely happy with this, in fact it's one of my favorite. You can truly taste all of the layers of the tea, has a wonderful fragrance, huigan, and a typical white tea taste. Amazing quality to price ratio, and gushu white teas is quite uncommon i think. Definitely worth buying!"

Really nice sweetness

"For me the dry and wet leaves have a very sweet almost candy like aroma. I found this tea to be very subtle and underwhelming in its strength of flavour but it really benefited by lightly crushing the leaves before putting them in the gaiwan. I would usually never do this with a puerh/black/… tea but here i think it really helped to bring out all the lovely aromas that this tea has but struggles to release with intact leaves. I recommend getting a sample. I have tried many white tea cakes by now but never experienced such a strong sweetness. Highly recommended…"

"Very delicate and smooth but deep aroma, prunes and honey, warm feeling of fading sun. 10 brewings. After shipment chipped some 100 gram into loose leaf and let it breathe in a clay jar for 3 weeks."

Delicate yet complex

"In terms of loose leaf and even after warming the tea leaves, it doens't have very distinct profiles. However, it is delicate, yet complex. Very pleasant and mysterious. I would risk saying it is something between nuts and medicinal herbs, but very light. The liquid comes in a greenish white with a thick and velvety feel. There's a smooth astringency that feels like I have something on my throat, the same way nuts do. Speaking of which, those are the most prominent notes at first. Once you go deeper, you can find a sweet stored tobacco and wood aromas, with some hints of mineral undertones. I tryied tasting a single drop and my tongue shrank, leaving some olive notes on the after taste."

Very good white tea

"The tea was selected like free gift for big order and it was perfect selection. Cake is filled by whole - unbroken leaves with no dust. It is easy to get smaller part of cake it is easy pressed. Smell is very nice, there are flowers and grass. Taste is light with long aftertaste. In first moment it reminded me taste of young oolong with low level of oxidation (e.g. green and not roasted Tie Guan Yin). Pot gave me a lot of brews and tea has nice flower smell/taste for whole the time. In the end of drinking there the wood aftertaste was more obvious. Perfect choise and perfect white tea. For sure I can recommend to try it."
