Chocolatey Black Tea with Sweet Spice

"This is a very fine black tea, whose shape and the way the leaves unfurl during steeping add to its value. Brewed at 100 °C, it withstands five infusions of 30–40–50–80–120 seconds. The flavor is chocolatey with a sweet, subtly spiced undertone."

Excellent hong cha!

"This just jumped into my list of favorites. I love when a tea is both sweet and refreshing and that's exactly what i experienced with this one. It is also a bit spicy as the description says, which i think adds an interesting and satisfying twist to the taste and mouth feel."

Exquisite everyday tea

"Not one I do drink everyday as I have too many to still try, and I only have a limited batch. But if I had a large stash I could drink a pearl a day. It has just enough yamminess and just enough maltiness to keep it interesting, but not one to show stop. Have shared with a few colleagues at work and they were quite happy. Soothing cha qi, no over powering caffeine kick. Just a nice pick me up when asked for something a little more exotic when you ask for a pu'erh work horse most days."

Q&A

Hi Scott, I have a question about sugar. Here [Fu Shou Mei Feng Qing Black Tea of Yunnan * Spring 2018] you mentioned frying the tea with sugar. What about these 'pearls' - are they processed with sugar too or they are sugar free? Cause I really taste sweetness in this tea. Could you clarify, please?
No sugar in these. The "Fu Shou Mei" is the only tea we sell that has some sugar added.
