This is a lovely tippy "golden pekoe" Feng Qing #100 varietal black tea. #100 varietal is a hybrid varietal that is a cross between the original Feng Qing assamica varietal and the Da Bai Hao varietal. The result is a large fuzzy tea with plenty of flavor and a bright warm appearance!

The brewed tea has notes of honey, fruit, and a subtle peppery taste/aroma in the early infusions! This is very much a classic Dian Hong tea but with some added sweetness and body! Also it should be noted that this tea will hit its prime after about 6 months of aging (up to 3 years). Feel free to drink it before then, but do keep the bag well sealed if you plan to keep it for longer.

We hope you enjoy this unique and satisfying Feng Qing Dian Hong black tea!

Great tea

"A great pleasent tea with a chocolaty flavor, no bitterness, topped only by the imperial mojiang, which was my favorite black tea variant in my order with a more intense and pure chocolaty taste"

I love this tea so

"I love this tea so much that I bought an enormous bag of it. With cream and sugar it takes on an almost hot chocolate flavor, so deep and smooth."

Feng Qing “Golden Pekoe #100” Dian Hong Black Tea

"This tea is very good there is no better way to put it. The tea has a very chocolaty characteristic that one would expect when buying a black tea. Nevertheless, it interesting in a way that it has fermented fruity undertones in the overall taste of the tea adding a very interesting experience to the drink. I wish I would’ve bought more, but I will still enjoy what I got. As far as anyone might be concerned with caffeine I would not recommend this tea later in the day as it does pack quite a punch."

A keeper

"Beautiful leaf and a wonderful cup. The taste is full and smooth. I’ve had to back off on weight per cup when I brew."
