21King Oranges stuffed with Fuding Shou Mei White Tea and then cured together in the sun!  The marriage of the sweet citrus and the fruity shou mei tea makes for a lovely tea drinking experience!

I prefer to break in half and brew the white tea with pieces of the orange rind all together.  If you prefer less citrus taste you can remove the tea from the dried rind and brew separately.

King Orange is a small green orange which originates from Vietnam but is now grown in Southern Yunnan and Guangxi.  It is known in Vietnam as Cam sành.  It is tasty to eat by itself and although rather small and green it's sweet and pungent.

This is made from Spring 2021 Shou Mei and Summer 2022 King Oranges

Each little "King Orange" is roughly 7 grams (+/- 2 grams) and comes individually wrapped**.

Ingredients:  Orange Peel, White Tea

** wrapper style will change over time, may differ from pictures.

Please note:  Over time the oils from the peel may form a white frost on the peel.  This is not mold.   We won't take returns or offer refunds for that.  It's a feature not a flaw!

Very special aged white tea, great value for money!

"Tasting notes: very medicinal and citrusy aged white tea, brews infinitely Brewing parameters: half an orange for a 100ml gaiwan, 99C water, start with 25s"

Awesome

"This is a great one. I've decided to break the orange in two halfs and brew it in a Japanese style clay teapot. The flavour is very rich and refreshing. The taste is a bit tart, but for me it's pretty well-balanced between tea itself and the orange peel. You can brew it for a long time."

Amazing

"I love Scott And white tea. So I bought white tea from Scott. Can’t complaint."

A delicious and refreshing tea

"I made this in a gaiwan with 100C water, using the whole orange broken in half. It is an extremely pleasant tea to drink, quite mild but with a lot of subtle flavours, and the citrus taste imparted by the king orange is an amazing counterpoint. I was very curious and unsure what to expect when I purchased this tea but I highly recommend it!"

Lovely!

"Sweet and fruity. Love how the sweetness of the shou mei is influenced by the sour/sweet of the orange rind! Very unique and different from King Orange Pu-erh (also sold on this site)! Thanks for the free sample!"

Sweet, sour, brimming with flavor.

"Unique and nice tea at a great price with many steeps... And I have an unusual suggestion: combine it with post fermented teas. I accidently combined this and the 29 steep golden flower Hei Cha in the same tea cup --it created a beautiful brew. The sour and sweet nature can be a bit much for some, I imagine, but it is perfect for creating exquisite tea combinations with post fermented teas."

I love this tea! So

"I love this tea! So many steeps from one little orange. I was surprised at how small they were and then surprised at how much that little ball can hold! I would definitely buy more."

Bitter !!!!!!! Treasure

"So I have learnt that when I want a refreshing bitter afternoon turp kick I turn to these awesome stuffed citrus gems !!!! ... I go a little crazy with this tea and break up a one and stuff the whole think in my 70ml sliver teapot wake it up with a rinse or two .... then I go for long steeps like a 35sec-1min and keep increasing the time over the steeps ..... the result is powerful cups of citrus bitter but not like a young forgotten sheng puerh steep or anything like that .... but its literally like some crazy Herbal medicine I didn't know I needed till now hahahaahah hopefully pick up a bunch more sometime and continue this process from time to time over the years to come !!!! Thank you"

A lovely introduction

"My husband and I are new to gongfu brewing and more complex teas. I spent a lot of time exploring the information and teas shared on the Yunnan Sourcing website before submitting our first YS order. Our box arrived yesterday. The website, our interim interactions with Scott and his team, and the great care and generosity that went into the packaging of our purchases and Inclusion of free samples won us over completely before we even tasted any tea. Based on YS’s write-up of the Fuding Shou Mei White Tea in a King Orange (2018) and the helpfully descriptive reviews posted by others, my husband and I chose this tea as the first from YS to brew this morning. It was a delicious, fragrant, easy-to-brew and gentle introduction to this new world: citrusy, sweet, with a menthol-like sensation that gave a clean finish. We really love this tea and Yunnan Sourcing and highly recommend both."

Fresh citrus flavour

"The tea is present at first, later infusions bring more citrus and a nice cooling effect. A little bitterness and fresh taste of white tea"
