"These gaiwans have a wonderful weight and an excellent lid alignment, leading to an easy and smooth pour that won't let out leaves. The size is ideal for a solo session (especially if you blend 2 or 3 infusions at once), or for two or three people to each be able to wait the tea at an unaltered pace. Absolutely marvelous value."

"It‘s my first gaiwan and I am very pleased. About its appearance, it looks exactly like the product pictures. It is lightweight and has a good size for my hands to handle. The white inner wall will make the process of tea brewing visible. It‘s satisfying to watch! The motif on the inside is a good orientation for me: If the tea soup slightly touches the bottom of the lotus plant and fish, then it’s perfectly filled. Filling up more will drastically increase the risk of spilling. Once I figured out my best way to hold the gaiwan, the lid won’t slip away when pouring. The material itself is thin, which makes pouring and moving of the lid easy. It also doesn’t heat up too fast, but I have only brewn teas at a maximum temperature of 80°C so far."

"I've ordered both and they are a real treat to use. Pouring is easy and the size is ideal for my hands. The colors are very pretty pastels will definitely buy an other set for tasting comparisons because they are different colors you'll not mix up the teas."
