This is a lovely tippy "golden pekoe" Feng Qing #100 varietal black tea. #100 varietal is a hybrid varietal that is a cross between the original Feng Qing assamica varietal and the Da Bai Hao varietal. The result is a large fuzzy tea with plenty of flavor and a bright warm appearance!

The brewed tea has notes of honey, fruit, and a subtle peppery taste/aroma in the early infusions! This is very much a classic Dian Hong tea but with some added sweetness and body! Also it should be noted that this tea will hit its prime after about 6 months of aging (up to 3 years). Feel free to drink it before then, but do keep the bag well sealed if you plan to keep it for longer.

We hope you enjoy this unique and satisfying Feng Qing Dian Hong black tea!

Feng Qing "Golden Pekoe #100"

"It was a robust red tea that lacked any characteristic aroma. Along with it I also Zheng Shan Xio which appealed much more to my taste."

Great tea

"A great pleasent tea with a chocolaty flavor, no bitterness, topped only by the imperial mojiang, which was my favorite black tea variant in my order with a more intense and pure chocolaty taste"

I love this tea so

"I love this tea so much that I bought an enormous bag of it. With cream and sugar it takes on an almost hot chocolate flavor, so deep and smooth."

— Whitsitt G. (5/5)

A well made classic yunnan gold tea.

"This is a fairly typical classical Yunnan Gold tea, the only thing it feels a little empty on mouth flavor compared to some other classic yunnan gold. I personally would have liked it witha more full mouth taste, but it's nothing that unusual. Well made tea it's pretty exactly much what you expect from this."
