Nan Po Zhai is the closest village to Bing Dao village in the county of Mengku. It lies two kilometers from Bing Dao village in a road-less area filled with centuries old tea trees.  Nan Po tea is typically sold as Bing Dao as it's quite similar, but not the same. We are happy to offer this incredibly powerful and textured tea from the first flush of Spring 2012.

This Tea Is Special

"This tea is amazing, one of the best pu-erhs I’ve tried. First few infusions are smoky with flowers and green vegetables. Best way I could describe is like smelling a bouquet of deep flowers (orchid, lily) while sitting next to a bonfire. Later infusions are a refreshing incense note mixed with tobacco. A smoked spinach note is present that adds a wonderful vegetal taste/smell. There is an herbal bitterness that is mild enough to be enjoyable in the later infusions. Cha qi is powerful from the first infusion, I could feel it rushing in. Invigorating, yet calming at the same time."
