Very interesting, great tase
"This tea is amazing! In the beginning it was more astringent but by the 3 steeping the sweetness and spicy notes came out. This tea lasts forever! I think this tea is better brewed with less leaves which is what I did and short times for better flavor profiles."

Aptly Named
"This tea has so much stamina, you could probably brew a ten gram sample for a whole day if you aren't too heavy of a drinker. The smokiness comes out after the fourth steeping, forgive me I don't have the tea in front of me so I don't exactly remember the notes I got from it but I remember being very pleased."

Amazing taste
"I decided to buy this cake after teisting it at a friend. I absolutly love it! It has an aftertaste like rosted nuts with a little bit of sweetness, very earthy and not bitter at all. I recommand this to any new person who wants to try puerh tea!"

Immortal Monkey
"Slightly pungent creamy aroma. "Singe-ed" toast shou, later reveals chocolaty coated thickness. Sweet honeysuckle fruity aroma hints this is a special batch. Depth of profile through antique floor, rising through tree branches, into clouds through ongoing steeps. Immortal as the monkey of legend."

i have let the cake
"i have let the cake rest for about two weeks after it arrived, also chipped parts to parallel store in a jar. My experience is a smooth and reliable tea, using less leaves and pushing it a bit opens it's flavor profile well, where as more leaves and shorter infusions gave a more robust liquor. Either way, or through the middle, this feels to me like a stable tea with quite a grounding Qi. The dance of the immortal monkey is subtle, it's flavors dance in the back of your throat almost as a memory being experienced within the stillness of it's presence."

Lovely tea, a little lacking in strength
"The more I drink Yunnan Sourcing teas, the more I wonder why I drink other teas! They really are reliably excellent. This one is no exception, sweet, a hint of smoke, and a lovely flavour. In my opinion, it doesn't measure up to some of YS' other Shus (for instance, I've just been enjoying the year of the goat Menghai cake, which is substantially cheaper) simply because it lacks strength. So this tea is lovely, but comes out rather pale and gentle. If you like that, or are new to Shu, it's ideal. If, like me, you like Shu dark and strong, then it's a little lacking, and other YS products beat it. But, all the same, it's more complex and interesting than most Shu in this price bracket!"

Excellent mouth feel
"It wasn't what I expected out of ripe Puerh. It has a kick and it starts off smoky with slight astringent. Steep 3 onwards the sweetness is pronounced. Good body and excellent mouth feel. This is ready to drink now and hopefully it will get better with age."

Perfect Ripe!
"I was a big fan of Green Miracle which to me was the perfect ripe and I never thought I would find something else I like as much until I had this. The addition of tippier material gives it a sweet and buttery texture and taste. This goes many many steeps and still draws me in session after session! I've finished my first cake and into the second one already!"
