This is a cake composed entirely of the "huang pian" (mature larger leaves) that were hand-plucked from the mao cha (loose leaf raw pu-erh) that composed our Spring 2024 Jinggu productions. 

These large leaves are entirely from wild arbor or ancient arbor tea trees and have a great deal of depth and flavor. They deliver a honey-like sweetness with a nice viscous lubricating mouth-feel. We've given this tea the name 春晓 which means "Spring Morning" because of its fresh but gentle character.

Tropical Fruit Cordial

"This is an unusual but really satisfying tea. Something akin to fruit cordial. I used 8g in a 100ml gaiwan (I like it strong), flash steeps, but this tea would do amazing as a western style brew also. I have a feeling this will age very well. So I’m going to buy another and stash it away for a couple of years."

"A very warming tea ! Quite sweet and fruty, a very easy to drink sheng. Great value for the price. I had the 2019 spring morning, and today, 6 years later, it taste so good, depth and fruits, no bitterness at all ! I recommand, and will age this one as well."

My Favourite Huangpin

"This tea really blew me away! Wasn't expecting too much from a huangpin, but it has a great flavour, really juicy and sweet, super easy drinking. Very mineral flavour. Less full-bodied bitterness than a gushu puer. It's got a decent mouth feel, and instantly feels warming and pleasant inside. Amazing value for money. I think it's going to be one of my go-to pu'er everyday drinkers."
