One of the many 1975 classic recipe teas from Menghai Tea Factory. This is a tried and true recipe that is a prime candidate for near-term aging and drinking. This uses an average of Grade 6 leaves (like a 7262) and blends them for optimum flavor. Like other Da Yi ripe products the fermented tea that composes this brick was fermented with great care to preserve character of the tea. The roughly 45 day fermentation process is strictly controlled at every stage to ensure the tea is consistently fermented (neither too much nor too little).

Net Weight: 250 gram tea brick (300 grams shipping weight)

I bought this on a whim..

"..and here I am looking at buying more Menghai teas. This is a really great tea. I've had large batch ripe pu-erh described to me a blended whisky. Maybe it has fewer standout characteristics than single-farm teas, but it's usually got the basics down pat. And this tea has all the basics - the warmth, the darkness, the thickness, and the long-lasting-ness. Maybe it's not complex but who cares. Go drink a sheng if you want complex. This is a great ripe pu-erh."

Meditation tea

"This tea as well as other 7562 Menghai teas seem to be very good for a meditation. Using daily very early in the morning, also tastes so good that this is my tea of choice for guests and friends."

2013 Menghai 7562 Classic Ripe Pu-erh Tea Brick

"I thank Yunnan and Mr.Scott Wilson for the delivery of this excellent product witnin reasonble terms to such a distant location as the western edge of Russia. The product is as described in the product detail on the site and meets my expectations to the utmost extent! Now I'm in the buying mood to order another brick (or cake) from YS, because it's worth it!"

Everyday pu'er

"This is a fantastic daily drinking Pu'er. I didn't feel the need to air it out since I detected no "funky" scent to it from wet-piling or storage. Smooth, with caramel-sweetness, definitely sips like a tea above its pricepoint."

Blended and priced to please $$

"For you ripe pu lovers this is a must for your tea collection. Please do yourself a favor on your next order a buy at least one brick of this wonderful Da Yi tea. I would also like to know what other Da Yi teas anyone out there enjoys. The fermentation level of this tea is very nice and i would suppose the grade 6 tea leaves let's it keep it's character. I use 10g of tea in a 150ml clay pot, quick rinse then 10s-15s steeps seem to work for me and get many satisfying and tasty steeps. Please adjust the ratio and times as you please because this tea is very forgiving. Quality and affordability, hard to beat that combination. Nice blend. I see this tea selling out of stock, so don't procrastinate ! Again, the price is fantastic, Tea on."
