Pure Silver .999 Teapot for Gong Fu Tea Brewing.  Expertly crafted in Yunnan (Qujing County) this pure silver teapot combines function and beauty with an elegant flair.  Crafted by Yunnan's most skilled silversmiths in Qujing county (a place with more than 1500 years history in smithing fine silver objects), this teapot will perfect your gong fu cha tea brewing experience!  It is believed that silver provides the best possible medium for water and tea to meet.  This is .999 silver, which is the highest grade purity possible.  The teapot has been tested before sale to ensure a good lid fit and flow.  Have you ever had your heart broken by dropping your favorite clay teapot?  Not to worry, this teapot will never break even if you drop it!  You'll be able to pass it down to your children!

The handle is a type of ebony hardwood that is cool to the touch and very durable!  There can be a slight gap between where the handle meets the body of the teapot to prevent dry rot.  This is intentional!

Great Pot!

"Great Quality Teapot! Makes wonderful tea. Thank you"

Beautiful pot but be careful about maintenance and flavour changes!!

"The craftsmanship on this silver pot is marvelous, a pleasure for the eyes and well worth its cost. Unfortunately I was put off by some negative points I didn't consider before buying it: - silver stain easily and has to be polished every now and then. Also it's a must to rinse well the pot after every use, otherwise te pot will oxidise. That put some concern on which polishing method to use considering that almost every polish agent has some chemical in them that are not ideal for drinking tea. Considering that also the wood inserts, even though it's ebony, are delicate and tends to deteriorate with long and frequent exposure with water and polishing agents, I was too overwhelmed with the things I had to be careful with. - Silver does affect the tasting experience. I tried my pot with green tea and I really disliked it. Most people says that this change is caused by the high heat retention of silver, nonetheless in my opinion not every tea goes with silver. - Silver, especially the 0.999 purity one, is rather soft! even a little bump or a nail scratch risks to leave a mark on it. My pot had some mysterious damage during shipping and the spout was completely indented. even thought I had received a little refund, repair from my florentine silver shop was tragic and imperfect (the making process of this teapots is really a secret craft of Yunnan people 😅). That's to be considered thinking about the high price paid and the beauty of the object itself to be preserved."

Excellent tea and silver tea pot

"Such an interesting and neat silver piece to add to the collection and can actually use it also. So cool"

For years I resisted the

"For years I resisted the temptation to buy a silver teapot, happy as I was with my assortment of gaiwans and a few yixing pots, and thinking that silver couldn't possibly make any difference in the way my puer brewed. I'm so glad to have succumbed finally to said temptation. This little pot is very pretty and reminds me of a butterfly egg, and I find suddenly a new ease in correctly brewing some of the wonderful raw puers that I have. Using porcelain gaiwans and yixing pots it was always hit or miss -- I'd be so glad when I got it just right and the true character of a particular tea would fully manifest. With the silver pot it's pretty much a regular thing that I brew right. I recommend you try it if you're a sheng puer drinker."
