Lovely Bu Lang Mountain area ripe pu-erh tea! Tippy, thick, and aromatic!

Xinghai tea factory is the 2nd producer of ripe tea in Menghai town (after Menghai tea factory), and has an excellent "wo dui" fermentation process. This tea was aged in a dry Guangdong storage and has already lost it's "wo dui" (wet pile) taste.

The tea brews up a deep, dark but clear burgundy-brown tea soup. The taste is sweet with a expansive lubricating taste and feeling in the mouth. Very warming and velvety! Both subtle and complex at the same time, a high quality tea leaf was used, each session lasting many infusions.

"This tea is not for me. I prefer an earthy, spicy, mushroomy, nutty flavour. Using the gong fu cha method, this tea is quite weak in intensity. After several brewings, it's not too bad, no disturbing taste, but not appealing to me either. It reminds me of some kind of tree bark infusion taste..."

Buttery whiskey

"I was curious about this Bu Lang as I've really enjoyed the "Bu Lang gong ting loose". For a ripe the leaves are quite clean when rinsing it. A smell of whisky comes up first, quite funny. Then the taste is like butter mixed with whiskey. Along the infusions the buttery smooth taste remains and it's a delight for the mouth. An other nice ripe from Bu Lang Brewed in silver with porcelain cup. 90C+, 5.5g/100ml (rince at 70C)"
