This is the highest grade of Tie Guan Yin normally available. Picked in a small window of just 2 days during the spring and autumn harvest and hand-processed in small batches to achieve a high level of aroma and full Guan Yin taste! Also known as AAA Grade!

The tea is composed of uniformly small, tightly hand-rolled emerald green nuggets! The brewed tea liquor is a lovely emerald green with floral hints and a lingering taste in the mouth and throat!

Possibly a bad batch (Spring 2024)

"I've bought multiple teas from YS before and they've always been great but I think the batch of TGY I got was not great. There was little to no aroma (dry leaf) which I felt was a bit odd but from past experience of other YS teas I paid it no mind (since they usually taste amazing). After steeping still very little aroma (wet leaf) which I found odd and the leaves themselves were extremely dark green. I assumed maybe this was just different method or picking or something but what gave it away for me was the taste of the liquor; really underwhelming and bland. Barely any floral notes and tending more to dark green vegetal. Quite disappointed to be honest but luckily I only bought a small batch."
