Aged Mao Cha blend entirely from the Jinggu region of Simao.  The tea was aged in a loose leaf form in hot and humid Jinggu for more than a decade before pressing in 2021.

This tea has all the hallmarks of a an aged pu-erh!  Orange tea soup, oxidized leaves, and warm vibrant mouth-feel and cha qi. There is a kind of camphor aroma that is complemented by a mushroom and spice sweetness that is typical of a light-moderately aged raw pu-erh tea.

An enjoyable and affordable aged raw pu-erh!

"Fast, reliable delivery. Great products"

Easy going.

"Very interesting to compare this tea to long tang old tree. Same region, and similar aging. This tea, being younger trees, is more forgivable in terms of brewing parameters. It is less active in the mouth, potentialy less astringent, bitter, and less potent cha qi. So you can brew it quite intense, and focus more on the taste profile, wich is very good. Typical dry wood in early steps, for aged as mao cha. Evolves quickly into woody vanilla, creamier, super ripe fruits, and slightly earthy mushroomy. No cave flavours, or basement at all. Very aged taste ! The vanilla reminds of really good ripes, but without the extreme cave part. Good for the evening, or after strong old tree session, or maybe to drink with new tea drinkers. Not my number 1 favorite tea. But would miss it immensly, if I didn't have it. I also had the chance to compare an almost same age mao cha (2012), from Jinggu also, from an other vendor, in France that I really like, that was a joke compared to this one."

Impressive Aged Sheng

"Got a sample of this and enjoyed it immensely! Aged taste is very prominent and it's very smooth drinking. Chaqi is good and I can steep it 10 times easily when I make it gongfu method. Getting a full cake."
