Gaiwans

Gaiwan 盖碗 meaning literally Bowl and Lid is a classic Chinese way to brew tea.  Most gaiwans are either glazed ceramic, or porcelain and can be used to brew any kind of tea.  Clay Gaiwans made from Yixing Clay, Jian Shui Clay or other clays should be dedicated to one type of tea and seasoned to prepare them for brewing.
