A simple mini cake produced with the "Ming Xiang Ya Yuan" nei fei, which is the name of Hai Lang's tea shop. Pure Ai Lao mountain of Simao Spring 2002 material, this little mini cake has been dry aged in Kunming since it's creation. A nice mellow cake with an orange tea liquor and nice mouth-feeling. A semi-aged taste still with some bitterness and astringency.

"Did a side by side with 2002 Tai Lian "International Puer Tea Expo". Early steeps the TL had rich fruity flavors and good mouth feel, HLH was a bit smoky and sharp. Mid/Late steeps TL lost steam and got watery but still had good fruits, HLH however lost it's smoke and widened out with good prevelent upper-mid flavors and rich full mouth/throat feels. Found the description above for HLH to be accurate."

Intresting sheng

"This sheng is intresting. For first few infuisions taste is quite strong and powerful, with some smoke (but not excessive), some tobacco. Later infusions are still strong but became more "silky" in taste, balanced. I would not say it is very floral or sweet (for my taste), but this is what I like in such sheng which are not young: they have they own character, they are not mild. As result I have ordered another one cake."

Are you sure this is 200 g ? I ordered this cake ~ a year ago and it definitely was 100 g (it is even written on the packaging label).
Hai Lang pressed 100 and 200 gram cakes of the same material. The 100 gram ones sold out, so then we started to offer the 200 gram cakes. Same material.
