Great tea. Shipping was interrupted
"Great tea. Shipping was interrupted by a DHL strike but tasting it made it worth all the waiting. Good tea"

Winner, winner chicken dinner
"This is a most fabulous ripe. Excellent price for the quality. If you enjoy Shou's you must add this to your stash. Ya may want to buy two cakes before it runs out. I'm not kidding, it's that good."

Don't think twice. Buy this mini cake.
"Who says you can't have your cake and drink it too? A wonderful morning tea. Very smooth. Creamy mouth feel. Any pu-erh made entirely from Menghai material is a win win in my opinion."

Must be my favourite
"After working through a lot of YS samples earlier this year, this cake was on my list. I ordered some 2020 cakes for ageing, and some mini cakes for convenience, but Man Tang Hong Te Ji was the one I ordered for drinking. Now I go back to it day after day. There is something about the Lincang taste that always gets me, but this one is special. Maybe it's the woody, earthy flavor, but probably it's the smooth, clear energy that it brings. Whatever it is, I'm enjoying this cake!"

Amazing
"Received it as a sample and was delighted. My favorite type of shus: thick, woody, chocolaty, fruity, slight camphor notes and, what's important for me, without spiciness. The aftertaste is very comforting, lasting and sufficient. Body sensation is something between awakening and comforting. It does energizes, but without any rush, and at the same time it also makes you feel as wrapped up in a blanket in cold rainy day. Absolutely worth to try and to repurchase. I'm defintely going for a whole cake."

good aged charaterstics
"Review is based on a sample, perhaps 3-4 sessions. Impressive and potent woody notes. The mouthfeel is as if you can feel the wood grain in it. Very satisfying texture. It has 'oomph' There is some mustiness in the aroma. It has hints of that elusive camphor quality that I am always seeking in aged puer."

What a delightful shou!
"I was quite surprised by this one. Out of the sample pouch, it didn't smell like much. After 2 rinses and a 3 minute covered rest, it didn't smell like much. I'm glad I followed Scott's brewing recommendation, and discarded the 2 bitter rinses. I drank the 3rd 15s infusion, and this woke me up! The next infusion was more full and tasteful. This keeps getting better and better each infusion! This is now on my "buy more" list. Thank you."

Good shou
"This is a good and tasty ripe puerh with zero "off" or "fermented" flavors. It brews up dark like coffee but redder. The taste is predominately woody and then earthy. There's a sweetness but it's not fruity like some shous. Depending on how I brewed it, on some steeps I got a slight tartness or a bit of astringency. The mouth sensation is mouthwatering and a bit warming. It has an energizing effect."
