Gao Jia Shan “Lu Bu Gu Lin” Wild Harvested Hunan Fu Brick Tea
“Lu Bu Gu Lin” is a hand-built Fu brick from Gao Jia Shan, made with spring-harvested tea from the Liubuxi area of Anhua County, Hunan. The tea grows among forest vegetation at elevations of approximately 800–1,100 meters.
The brick features large leaves and plentiful golden flowers. Its orange-gold infusion offers a thick, honey-like texture, with floral notes, the characteristic aroma of Fu brick tea, and a lingering finish.
Wrapped in blue and gold packaging featuring a deer and mountain landscape, this release commemorates Gao Jia Shan’s 15th anniversary, 2007–2022.
Gao Jia Shan is both a place and the name of the tea factory brand that produced this lovely tea. Gao Jia Shan as a producer doesn't have as long of a history as Yi Yang and Bai Sha Xi tea factories but nonetheless produces very high quality Fu Brick tea processed in the traditional manner. Gao Jia Shan is a premium medium-small producer of An Hua Hei Cha (including Tian Jian, Fu Cha Zhuan, Hei Cha Zhuan, and Qian Liang Teas.
The tea was fermented with a few days of wet piling and then pressed into bricks. After pressing, the golden flowers flourish in the inner section of the brick where the conditions are just right to support them. After a few days, the Golden Flowers have thrived and spread throughout the inner part of the bricks, and then the bricks are dried using a temperature of 37C which preserves and gradually halts the spread of the flowers without damaging them or the tea leaves.
