This is a spring 2013 Dehong area tea that was stored as mao cha in our warehouse in Kunming since 2013!  This year we decided to press it into this little mini brick!

This is a potent tea with some smokiness, astringency, and plenty of mushroom broth sweetness.  To moderate the intensity of this tea, we recommend keeping the steeping time short in the early infusions.

Roughly 5 Grams per mini brick.  

If you purchase by weight (250, 500, 1 kilogram quantities), the weight will include the weight of the wrapper (which is negligible).

"I love this tea. It is burly and thick. The smokiness mentioned in the description is noticeable up front, followed by a rich sweetness with a touch of astringency for balance. I greatly prefer young shengs to aged ones, and this one suits me. Despite being a 2013 tea, it doesn't have that woodiness that I dislike in aged shengs. The little wafers open up on the first steep and last for multiple infusions. It's also a bargain. Buy some, you'll be happy"
