Tian Jian tea from Anhua County of Hunan packed in aromatic bamboo leaves and baked (low temperature) dry in the leaves.  This process imparts a unique taste and aroma providing the Tian Jian aficionado with yet another reason to enjoy this wonderful tea.

The taste is thick and sweet, with smoke, carmelized sugar and roast oolong.  An inexpensive tea well worth the price.

Calming energy

"Really good tea for the price! It does have that bamboo fragrance, lingering honey sweetness and dry woody notes. It was less smoky than other tianjians that I've had before. Mouthfeel is like heicha and baicha combined together in wierd silky combo. Simple yet interesting. It has that really "cosy" feeling, especially in colder months."

Rather sweet and strong hui gan

"This is the first time I drink tian jian and it is unlike any other hei cha I've had. Compared to an aged sheng or a liu bao, it is not very woody and has none of that dusty/old book taste which I often love. It is quite sweet and perhaps a little aniseed. Most importantly, it has incredibly strong hui gan. I almost feel like I've been chewing on peppermint leaves!"

Incredible coverage!

"Haven’t had the tea yet, but I find it utterly surreal that Colbert managed to get hands in YS tian jian. There’s gotta be some associate producer that’s enough of a tea junky to get him to air a tasting! This is as cool as it is hilarious."
