2020 Yunnan Sourcing "Happy Elephants" Ripe Pu-erh Tea Cake
This cake is pressed from a blend of Menghai area ripe pu-erh teas. The blend of tippy and medium sized leaves yields a classically Menghai smooth, sweet, and earthy tasting tea that will improve in taste and aroma with each passing year.
The scene of the two elephants is from a real event that happened in early 2020 when a herd of elephants ventured into a nearby tea garden, carousing with each other and eventually napped among the tea bushes. Some accounts claim the elephants stole some of the tea grower's alcohol stash and got drunk, then falling asleep, but this version of the story seems implausible. Elephants are naturally playful with each other, so they didn't need alcohol to have fun! We've added some pictures of the event that circulated on WeChat back in March 2020 (not our photos).
