This is a blend of 2018 harvested Bu Lang Mountain ripe and raw pu-erh tea! Spring 2018 harvested ripe tea was wet piled and then blended with Spring 2018 harvested Bu Lang raw pu-erh tea.

The blend is heavy on the ripe with just enough raw to give it that extra dizzying kick! Very nicely balanced tea with pleasant cha qi, long-lasting mouth-feel and plenty of thick and sweet ripe goodness! Further aging will bring these teas closer together resulting in a wonderfully harmonious and unique experience!

Like stand at a cliff and getting vertigo.

"The taste is strange. Sweet & creamy with a sudden drop off of flavor much like cliff diving. The ChaQi is banging! Super unique tea… worth a try as long as you understand what you are getting into."

Hight bitterness

"Sample of the tea was bought like part of 'Yunnan Sourcing Brand Ripe Pu-erh Tea Sampler for 2019 - Part 3' and from my point of view it is the worst sample of the set. Why? Taste of tea is 90% bitterness and 10% dusty and wet wood. Almost no earthy notes or solid fermentation. Taste is just not balanced.... maybe after a few next year of aging the dominant bitterness would become less sharp and it would bring long aftertaste. But for now: Jan 2021 it is not cup of tea I would enjoy."

Interesting tea to try

"Solid ripe base with a raw kick - just as I anticipated. Not really the taste profile I usually look for, but it definitely is an interesting tea to try and enjoy from time to time. I think it will lose this taste character over a few years as the raw part of the tea ages and mellows out, but we'll see."

I recomend it

"The ripe pu-erh's flavor almost overlies the raw's one but the result is very nice.Very strong tea with many infusions (around 15). The only thing i didn't like was the very high level of caffeine that ends me up a little bit nervous, but this is very subjective as i'm kinda sensitive to high levels of caffeine. I'd buy it again"

"Хорошо раскрылся в гайвани. Подходит для вечернего чаепития. Возьму еще блинчик для выдерживания!"

Q&A

Will this kind of blend age differently compared to a pure ripe or raw puerh?
Yes it will age differently. It's not really comparable in taste to either, but closer to a ripe.
