This is the one of the highest grade premium ripe tea recipe released by Menghai tea factory! The 0532 recipe ripe cake is composed of an average of Grade 3 ripened tea leaves. The cake is full of small leaves and fermented buds, but balanced with slightly larger leaves to create a rounded flavor. Menghai tea factory is the foremost tea factory in Yunnan with more than 50 years of history. Their quality of their ripe pu-erhs have made them the undisputed King of Ripe Pu-erh! This collectable mini tea cake is composed of grade 3 and higher leaves, all smaller leaf fermented material with plenty of flavor to give up when brewed! When brewing keep infusion times very short in the beginning! Sure to be a classic due to its amazing textured flavor profile and limited production quantity.  (Batch 201)

"Pretty average ripe. Flavour profile predominently black chocolate, with hints of vanilla and cherry, but it's very flat and lacks depth. Nothing interesting going on here and there are better options for daily drinking. I'd reccomend anything from the Yunnan Sourcing label around this price or another recipe from Dayi, like 7452 or 7572. Brewing at boiling in yixing, 8-10g/100ml"

Aroma: dark chocolate, almonds, oats, tree bark Body: medium thickness, dry/tannic Taste: light, walk in the woods...like tree bark and dry autumn leaves, picking up faintly some raisin at the 5th 30s steeping Steepings: 10 Effect: slightly calming, feeling relaxed but not sleepy Overall: the aromas shine with this tea if you're like me and prefer earthy, less-sweet/fruity flavors...recommend as a go-to daily"

King of Ripe Puerh

"I received this cake about a year ago and it just seems to be getting better and better. I have now enjoyed at least forty or fifty different recipes of ripe puerhs from many factories. I, luckily, have not found any i do not like. I did take my time when choosing which ripes to order. I read many, many reviews (of course i have my favorites i choose to heed more than others). Took the advise of Scott and www.teadb.com (Denny and James) and thank them all for their experienced opinions. I did not just throw a dart at the order form. Consequently , i have not received a ripe i have not enjoyed. Some have flavors etc. that i enjoy more than others, but they have all been very good and drinkable. This Menghai 2011 '0532' is another bold, rich, creamy recipe from the 'King of Ripe Puerh'. Fabulous quality premium tea and at a bargain price. I am totally satisfied . If you are a shou fan, i'm sure you will appreciate this offering! Tea on"
