Wild Grown tea leaves from Qing Zi Shan 罄子山 of the Gao Jia Shan mountains. This is the original An Hua tea varietal that has grown in the mountains of Gao Jia Shan and Yun Tai Shan for centuries (maybe longer). Gao Jia Shan is both a place and the name of the tea factory brand that produced this lovely tea. Gao Jia Shan as a producer doesn't have as long of a history as Yi Yang and Bai Sha Xi tea factories but nonetheless produces very high quality Fu Brick tea processed in the traditional manner.

"Yi Pin Fu" (aka Foremost Quality Fu) is an incredibly unique tea that uses finished Tian Jian tea from An Hua and then processes it like Fu Brick tea with golden flowers! The golden flowers in this Tian Fu brick are a kind of orange/brown color. The Tian Jian being darker in color changed the color of the golden flowers!

The taste is malty and sweet with dried fruit after-taste! Want to learn more about Tian Jian tea?  Click here!

After pressing the tian jian style tea, the golden flowers flourish in the inner section of the brick where the conditions are just right to support them. After a few days the Golden Flowers have thrived and spread throughout the inner part of the bricks, and then the bricks are dried gradually using a temperature of 37C which preserves gradually halts the spread of the flowers without damaging them or the tea leaves.

This is among the most premium Gao Jian Shan productions ever. Limited to just 3000 bricks in total!

The taste is ultra smooth with a malty sweetness. It has an ultra thick tea soup and voluminous body that fills and stimulates the mouth and throat. This is an ultra-premium Fu Cha made from wild harvested tea leaves, and processed laboriously to achieve "Fu Cha Perfection"!

Spring 2018 harvested tea leaves from the Qing Zi Shan 罄子山 area within the Gao Jia Shan mountains at an altitude of 800-1100 meters! For Anhua Hei Cha, that's a a very high altitude!

Each Brick is 1 Kilogram. If you order anything other than a whole brick you will get pieces of the broken up brick.

ALLERGEN ALERT!!!   ** Because there is a possibility the golden flowers were inoculated using wheat flour we cannot guarantee this tea is safe for those with Celiac Disease or those that have severe gluten induced allergies **

First hei cha experience

"I love this tea so much, and will definitely be getting another brick, as well as trying as many more hei cha’s as I can. My husband and I are both gluten intolerant, and though you should still be careful, we both found that there was no gluten sensitivity for us to this tea. The tea itself. opens with a soft nutty sweetness, some earthy notes, but not overwhelmingly so, later steepings left notes of caramel and lots of pumpkin. smooth, complex, not overly bitter or tannony, but so full of qi. This is my first time with hei cha, and previously, I wasn’t a big raw puerh fan! I just find it is hard on my stomach, and hard to appreciate the complex flavor when amidst all those tannons. I absolutely love ripe puerh, and smokey oolongs, and so this tea was a really really nice surprise. It is a lot like a raw puerh in many ways, but without the characteristics that bother me. It has the aspects I love about a nice ripe, but with much more nuance and energy. It’s the best of both. In fact, this tea made me want to give really old really high quality raw puerh another chance! This tea takes many steepings, and I found it helpful to reboil the water for later steepings so it can continue to open up. the golden flowers were really interesting too. if you are a fan of things like lions mane, this fungus has interesting attributes. this is a good tea to take your time with, pairs well with chi gong and martial arts practice, as the golden flowers assist a subtle body high. I don’t pull this out on days that I’m in a hurry, it deserves a fully present conscious experience."
