This is a dry Guangdong storage raw Wu Liang tuo from Nan Jian Tu Lin Brand!  Very nice clean aged taste combined with a pleasant Wu Liang Mountain orchid sweetness makes this an excellent choice in a semi-aged tea!

Vintage:  2006 Spring Harvest

Varietal:  Assamica Tea

Region:  Wu Liang Mountain

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

Refuse to drink the last of it

"I bought this as my first aged puer. I didn't know that puer should rest so, with some online advice, I broke the whole tio up and stored it in a mason jar, opening daily. I was amazed at the occuring change in aroma and flavor. The bitter burnt tobacco flavor changed to a beautifully complex dry and smoky liquor steeping to a lightly sweet and slightly vegal mushroom flavor in two weeks. I learned the importance of letting tea rest after travel and I refuse to finish off the last of this beautiful tea."

Wonderful

"I won't try to get fancy with this one. It's simply a beautiful tea, super crisp flavor with a slight sweetness. Does well at any steep time."

Clean & clear Wu Liang ...

"What first springs to mind is how easy it is to break into this relatively low-compression tuo! Ending up with mainly intact leaves in your gaiwan makes for an enhanced taste experience, which is often difficult to achieve when it comes to tuos. This semi-aged tea delivers a lovely, crystal clear, deep orange tea soup, steep after steep. Good bitterness is at the forefront during the first 3 to 4 steeps. This fades into the background, later on, giving way to the typical Wu Liang orchid taste. There are also traces of sweetness and hay/straw detectable. This tea goes for many, many rounds. I manage to get about 12 steeps out of it, and even with a steeping time of 2.5 minutes +, the tea doesn't lose too much flavour and the colour of the tea soup is still a deep orange."
