Hot burnt stones
"First time trying Wuyi rock oolong. The wet leaf has this pungent smokey, tobacco, burnt tire, burnt hot stone notes. Fortunately, the taste of the tea is not like the smell. It taste fruity and smokey with some darker notes. It has this chalky or slate sensation in a good way. Must try for beginners"

My expectations were too high last time.
"After buying many dhp over the years I land square on this as my all time best value dhp. I can't say there's anything special about it, but if I were to describe it, there's a perfect balance of roast and livelyness, this results in a hearty brew with atleast 7 good infusions. Most dhp have a strong minerality, too much is roasted away, or not enough roasting, this just right. It's not the strongest, but you can't get any better than this without paying hand over fist."

Exceptional
"I made a big order of several teas through YS, and this one was the star of the show, i was so surprised! The moment i put the hot water on the tea leaves, I could already feel an amazing smell even from some distance, and the taste of the tea is even more surprising, I don't know how to describe but it is a dance of flavors in your mouth! Will reorder again and again!"

Very good, but not the best.
"I have tried my fair share of Rock Oolongs, and this Da Hong Pao is very good, but I have tasted better. This tastes good, don't get me wrong, I would maybe bump my rating up to 4. 5. Spring 2024 Batch"

AA DHP Goodness
"This DHP fell below my expectations, but still worthy of a great review. While providing all the important standards of DHP, its transformation was more aggressive than that of the Wild DHP or the 13 years aged DHP. The saponins noticeably dissipate after your 3rd steep, and transforms from the mineral notes to the rich pepper dominant liquor. I recommend this tea to anyone that appreciates a good Da Hong Pao, but to not to expect the session to last as long as one would with an aged DHP."

Smooth and rich flavor
"Smooth and rich flavor with a full aroma and gentle roasted notes. This Da Hong Pao feels perfectly balanced — not too strong, not too light. Great choice for everyday enjoyment or for a relaxing tea session."

Best Da Hong Pao I've
"Best Da Hong Pao I've tried. The price-to-taste ratio doesn't make me want to cry into my empty wallet, and the lighter profile works beautifully. This one's earned a permanent spot in my tea rotation – definitely ordering again. The aroma is very good. I really like this style of tea."
