Nan Jian Tu Lin tea factory (南涧土林茶厂) has a long history of more than 30 years producing Pu-erh teas. Their productions are often similar to Xiaguan productions in their choice of raw materials for wet piling, blending and processing techniques. Tu Lin brand fermented teas are well-known for their balanced flavor and sweet after-taste and complex flavor. A great choice for an everyday drinking ripe pu-erh tea.

Unbelievable Value

"This is some incredible ripe period. imo it could cost twice the amount and still be a bargain, no kidding. This brews a dark thick liquid that drops in the cup like lead sinkers. Classic ripe aroma and extremely flavourful with 0 wet pile or fishiness. I may have noticed some slight mintiness on the first few infusions and a woody character with a pretty acentuated mouthfeel that makes this a tea one may not be willing to spend a day without brewing any. If you are not thinking of ordering a tong change your mind right now and throw 7 cakes in your cart, do it you will thank me later."

Drinkable but not as good as similarly-priced equivelants.

"This tea is certainly drinkable, but has none of the richness of equivalently priced Menghai or even Xiaguan teas. Those are getting harder to get hold of, so I'm ok to drink this as a daily drinker. But it would never be my first choice - it's relatively flat and dry, with little depth. At this (low) price range, it's certainly acceptable, but not as much as the big factories when they are cheaper."

"This Shou is just one of my everyday favourite Pu-erhs. Very smooth taste, deep dark tea soup with rich sweetness afterwards. I love the deep balanced almost modest smell of the cake when unwrapping it. I won‘t praise him for his complexity, rather the opposite is the case - got me with his simplicity. Classic, very balanced, sweet-tempered Shou that never lets me down."

"This is MY ABSOLUTE favorite everyday tea. I make this tea more often than any other. I was so bummed when the 2017 of this tea sold out here and then the 2018 sold out on the USA store. When I saw that they had the 2019 it was an instant buy for me. There is a ton of value here in this tea that is rich and dark with great mouthfeel and a slight sweetness."
