Mojun Fu Cha is the oldest current producer of Fu Cha in Shaanxi.  They select tea leaves grown in Hunan and Yunnan to produce their incredibly unique Fu tea replete with "Golden Flowers" (Eurotium cristatum).   The Mojun Fu Cha process is unique and safeguarded, producing a delicious warm Fu Cha that is also cha qi laden.

"1368" Fu Brick celebrates what is believed to be the first production of Fu brick back in (you guessed it)  the year 1368!  Mojun combines high quality processing and a high density of "Golden Flowers" using a unique blend of Hunan mao cha (Harvested in 2018) that was processed in the Mojun's facility in 2018 and pressed in 2018.  The tea brews up a sweet, bright yellow-orange tea soup, with a long-lasting after-taste and full body.

Below is a translation of Mojun's own description of this tea:

This tea is selected from the special grade mao cha grown in Chaanpu, Taoyuan County, Hunan.  After a few years of careful storage, this tea yields a tea soup that is fresh and bright.  The taste is mellow sweet with no bitterness. The tea has a rich floral fragrance.

The tea bricks are flat and firm, with relatively few stems. Keep in mind that the right amount of tea stems can increase the sweetness of the tea and is beneficial to the growth of golden flowers.  The bottom of the leaf is delicate and shiny in summer
Yellowish brown in color, soft leaves uniform thickness, full slices, oily yellowish brown.

Mojun's tea growers pluck the first bud and three leaves from the natural tea environment that retains the original atmosphere, and it is also the place where Mojun tea has stood for many years.  The tea trees have not been eroded by modern pesticide residues and chemical fertilizers, the flavor is primitive and ancient, and the internal quality is full and thick.

My first dip into Fu Cha

"This is a very lovely tea. Has these little orange mushrooms inside. It was my first dip into Fu Cha. It was enough to realize that the presence of the fungus is enough to dissuade me from this type of tea, at least for now (I don't like most mushrooms). But aside from that, the taste is beautiful, subtly sweet, like an earthy green but with some bouillon quality."

Great tea

"I was surprised by how much I liked it for the price that it was."

Good tea

"I was really surprised by this tea. The flavor is deep and pleasant - a clean woody taste with a light touch of chocolate. There s plenty of the golden flowers, giving the brew a warm and gentle sweetness. The “wo dui” note is there, but very soft and not annoying at all. I m not a fan of shu puerh (or, as you English-speakers call it, ripe puerh). The "wo dui" flavor usually bothers me a lot, so I almost never enjoy these teas. But this one turned out to be a big exception - the fermentation taste is very mild and doesn t distract from the tea at all (Maybe aroma its not so great) . The energy of the tea is strong and comes fast - it relaxes and relieves stress almost instantly. This tea helps me a lot fight against winter blue . Who live in east / north Europe undestand what i mean . Another great bonus is that it’s gentle on the stomach. It doesn’t hit or irritate it (Like green oolongs and young shen puerhs) , and it’s actually very nice to drink after a heavy or fatty meal. Overall, a surprisingly good Fu brick that feels clean, calming, and easy to drink."

Fabulous! Part 3

"I've now "bought'n" about 10 of these cakes and continue to be impressed with it's multiple layers of taste and sensations. I think there must be some sort of synergistic chemistry here what with the Golden Flowers AND the potent vital life force of the leaves themselves As a judge, at one time, at two Chinese Tea Competitions, for which I trained for a couple of years, this is the most mysterious, intriguing and extraordinarily potent, full bodied experience I've ever had with a tea. So, Scott, hey, let's buy the factory!"

Quite Good

"Surprisingly good for the price. A lot of golden flowers. A must try."

Not my favorite, but good for the price

"It has a far better smell than taste. The smell being of a fresh-made raspberry jam! Warm with sharp, fruity notes. The viscosity is on-par with well aged Hei Chas, pleasantly thick and dark. The taste was far less fruity and sweet than other reviews would lead me to believe, instead hitting notes of dry hay. I was expecting at least undertones of woodiness that one usually gets from an aged, fermented tea. The feel is probably the worst part with a character of something half-digested and not much more after that. The golden flower is heavily present, but in hindsight, I should've paid a bit more for higher quality leaf."

Great Price. Earthy and Clean flavor!

"This tea brick is fairly nice especially for the price. Nice amount of golden flowers. Earthy but clean flavor with a slight cashew like nuttiness. Interesting mouth feel. Good for after dessert!"

Warm and Inviting Flavor

"I wasn't sure what to expect with this, given that I've never had a fu cha before. It's such a nice drinking experience! No bitterness, just a sweet, earthy flavor. It brews surprisingly light, I was expecting something like a pu-erh, with a sweet scent that reminds me a bit of mushrooms."
