This is a premium blend that we've named "Ba Wang" 霸王, which means something like "Badass King." "Ba Wang" is a sort of neo-classical pu-erh tea cake title. After all, imitation can be the highest form of flattery! Although there are many cakes called "Ba Wang," I think you'll agree ours is among the best!

Composed of tea from 6 different villages (Menghai, Simao, and Lincang), this cake is bitter, sweet and chocolatey with warm cha qi, thick body and a long-lasting mouthfeel. We think you'll enjoy this tea and consider it worthy of adding to your collection for aging.

not bad

"Smells like moss, tastes like dirt and tree bark. Feels like black coffee. A bit one -dimensional."

Banger Blend

"A very nice tea. My tongue is happy. I have read the sites description and agree. Nice coating, a warm cha qi. Kudos to those that blended and fermented this ripe to bring out a unique flavor."

Ripe tasting

"Ripe puerh, is not something I drink during the afternoon, with a note pad for noting all tasting notes and sensations. Ripe I drink merely for pleasure, in the evening. This one has « normal ripe notes » haha. But it is really really good ! There is usually two types : - creamy ones - earthy medicinal ones This one is creamy, very thick, but also mineral ! Which make it stand out. I like it. It has length in the mouth, it is tasty, good under brewed, good over brewed. One of the least moldy ripes I have tried."

Truly Awesome and Affordable

"I recieved a sample of this and completely astounded how good this tea is for the price. ZERO wet pile smell or taste. A wonderfully pleasent tea to drink at it's price point of $36.50 for a 250 gram cake at the time of this writing. It's got a really mellow dark flavor perfect if you're a coffee drinker and are new to puer. Not tangy or fruity or smokey. Ideal introduciton to new ripe puers."

"Excellent tea. Arrived quickly and we’ll packed."

Lord of the Bings: The Return of the Badass King.

"This is an epic tea. I seriously can't believe the price to quality ratio on this one. The bitterness is there, but is counteracted by a creamy/oily sweetness bursting with vanilla extract notes. This one is 100% going to get tonged by me because it's going to age beautifully. It's drinking perfect now, but I can't wait to see what it turns into down the road!"
