The "Xiao Fa" or "Little French" tuo is a classic Xiaguan Ripe Pu-erh tuo tea.  It has been produced since the 1970's. It was the first Pu-erh tea to be exported to western countries. This 2016 Ripe tuo is smooth with a camphor and wood aroma and a sweet taste. A great tea for aging or drinking now!

great affordable ripe

"For less than 6 dollars per 100 grams I didn't have any idea what I would be getting. What I did get instead, was a surprisingly refreshing ripe. It has a distinct sweet tone and an oatmeal flavor, mixed with some roasted bread and mineral notes. I really like this tea and believe it's one of the few daily drinkers with really good value on the site. The Tuo is easily breakable, going with my tea knife to the side I was able to peel of layers of leaves at once so making it easy to fill a pot. Definitely worth trying."
