A lovely 2004 spring harvest tea blended from Mengku area tea gardens!  Wu Chi Dao is a small Mengku area brand of Pu-erh tea that launched in 1999 and specializes in stone pressing raw pu-erh tea.

This particular production was relatively dry stored in Dongguan, Guangdong from 2004 until April 2021.  The tea has mellowed a lot but is still full-bodied and voluminous in the mouth, lubricating to the throat and has a sweet mushroom broth taste.  It's a nicely aged tea with plenty of complexity to enjoy now, but with enough potency to allow for further aging as well.

380 Grams per cake

* There is no pressing date printed on the wrapper.

** Some wrappers may be bug-bitten with little holes in the paper. There may also be some dust between the wrapper and the cake. Rinse tea once or twice briefly before drinking! If you are squeamish please don't order this tea!

Excellent!

"Ordered this sample with some olders and some same ageds. This one is only one I would like to order whole cake. Mushroom taste and old books smell in good way and thick soup with clean feeling. No lubricating taste after drink which feels good to me. Not much cha qi, but it warms lower energy body."

Smell of fall leaves and ancient books, in the best way

"Maybe the notes appeal to me because I love old books, archives. I've enjoyed 2 sessions so far from my 25 gram sample, this is the sweeter notes of aged leaves, whether tree or book pages. It's half formed old memories, nostalgia. Several steeps from each session."

Definitely a nice one

"It has everything I like about aged raw pu-erh tea. Full-body, strong taste with the notes of mushrooms and autumn fruit. Long and steady aftertaste. Brewed 7 grams in a 100 ml teapot. I believe it will me smoother and sweeter if you put a little bit less tea leaves."
