Spring 2021 Harvested tea from Mang Fei Mountain (Yong De County of Lincang) was processed into white tea using shade-drying and then steamed and rolled by hand into these convenient individually wrapped dragon balls!

White tea made in this minimalist manner is replete with cha qi, flavor, and aroma! The tea soup is has  a deep orange-red color with a thick viscous character. The tea takes many many steeps, only very gradually losing it's flavor and body!

5.5 Grams per Dragon Ball (+/- 1 gram).  These are sold by weight and the weight includes the weight of the paper wrapper (negligible)

Good tea, overly tight compression

"As someone who enjoys white tea, I found the flavor of these Meng Fei Mountain Dragon Tea Balls to be quite pleasant. The liquor was light, smooth, and easy to drink, with the gentle sweetness and delicate character I look for in a white tea. My main issue was with the compression. The tea balls were packed so tightly that they struggled to fully open during brewing. Even after multiple infusions, much of the leaf remained compressed, which made it feel like the tea wasn't able to release its full flavor and complexity. I suspect there is more depth hidden in the leaves than what made it into the cup. Overall, this was an enjoyable tea with a nice, approachable flavor, but the heavy compression kept it from reaching its full potential. If the tea balls opened more readily, I think the drinking experience would be significantly improved."

Good White Tea

"The flavor is very mild, but pleasant. The balls are tightly packed so you get a lot of steepings out of one ball."

Mostly flavorless

"It's a very, VERY mild tea, so much so that I'd call it flavorless no matter how strongly you brew it. Not sure if that's just the batch I got, or the tea is supposed to be this way."
