This is a very nice Menghai area (not Menghai Tea Factory) ripe pu-erh tea brick.  It's been aged in both Menghai and then Kunming, giving it a nice semi-aged taste that is sweet, creamy, and fruity without any wet pile taste or wet storage funk.  The leaf grade material used is a blend of larger leaf grades (3,5,7, & 9) giving it a mellow taste, and a bright clear tea soup.  It can be steeped 5 to 7 times or more with a typical gong fu style approach.

There are 2 x 250 gram bricks in each bamboo leaf bundle.  If you'd like to receive them in the bamboo leaf bundle please select the "2 Bricks in Bamboo Leaf" option from the drop-down menu.  If you order one brick you won't get it in the bamboo leaf bundle.

250 grams per brick (2 bricks per bamboo leaf bundle).

Average Shu Puer

"This tea has a thick texture and holds up well across lots of infusions. It's super compressed and it makes it hard to break pieces from the brick. Other than that there's nothing special about it. This is not an extraordinary shu puer. It's an okay shu puer. I got it as a free gift with my order. I would not order this brick as is, but I was happy to receive it as a gift."

Great Daily Driver

"Just a solid daily driver cooked pu’er! Not super dark, although the tea does get quite resinous when you give it a longer steep at higher temperatures. It’s almost impossible to steep incorrectly, very forgiving and makes for a nice long lasting session. Definitely recommend it."

Great Taste

"Very nice mellow lasting sweetness. Thank you Yunnan Sourcing. Now I only like Puerh tea. I hope that’s normal."

Good daily drinker

"Choose one brick as bongo deal, and it was a good choice."

Got one free with an order. Very pleasant.

"A tightly pressed brick. There's a good undertone of chocolate in the mix. Brews many times, which is good for a morning's writing."

"Thanks for great choice of tea!"

Funky and Interesting

"One of the more acidic pu-erhs that I've had personally. This tea is long-lasting and provides an interesting contrast to the rest of my pu-erh collection. Wouldn't necessarily drink every day, but it's great for when I want to change things up."

Good quality for a great price

"This tea brick comes beautifully presented in a delicate white paper. Good quality tea. Steeping produces an almost coffee-like liquor which tastes very pleasant and fulfilling. It has that “antique” taste of Pu-Erh. I very much enjoy it all together and think it’s a great addition to any collection."
